It’s been quite awhile since I’ve had a natural process Ethiopian but I don’t remember ever having one as fabulous as this. The aromas practically leap out of the cup. I got a strong whiff of blueberry right out of the gate. Further smells and tastes bore out the tasting notes. There is definitely a smooth cocoa flavor and a nice aftertaste that is reminiscent of cinnamon.
Personally, I am typically a Dark Roast Guy. The Aroma when the bag was first opened filled the room. I was well into my third cup when I realized I was running late. I have to say it is probably the best cup of coffee I have had this year.
I am obsessed with this bean/blend and will continue to order it as long as it is available. I relish the process of opening the bag and smelling its unforgettable aroma before measuring and grinding to perfection.
I was unsure what to expect as I don't have a lot of experience with acidic coffees and this one was advertised with a lot of fruit flavor. Fortunately it blew me away.
